A donor advised fund is a charitable giving investment account that an individual or family uses to make irrevocable contributions of personal assets to a charity and at any time thereafter can recommend grant distributions to IRCF.
Donor-advised funds are administered through a public charity that pools donations with other donor´s gifts, invests them, and makes grants to charitable organizations (like the IRCF) based on the donor´s recommendations. The benefits to you are immediate tax deductions (up to 50% of adjusted gross income for cash and up to 30% for securities). Contributions are fully deductible in the current year.
